Platform for intelligence analysis that integrates a set of advanced tools at the service of the analyst.
In the knowledge society we live in the needs that any organisation faces no longer mainly revolve around obtaining information but taking on the challenge of just the opposite: avoiding the saturation of information, by removing what is relevant and ignoring the irrelevant, discerning that which we know compared to what we still need know and identifying the key factors that will define the future that is sought. And it is precisely in environments that are increasingly dynamic and globalised where time is a critical factor, so that information that does not arrive in a timely manner has the same practical value as that other that never arrives.
The intelligence analysts have a complex mission before them: to see what others do not see, and this will be very difficult to achieve without tools to allow data that they hold to be viewed in a different and atypical way, where the information handled may or may not be accurate, as well as it may or may not be true. Where large volumes of information are mixed together from very different sources, both that which is structured and allows a direct treatment as well as that other information that lacks structure and has to be valued and related to existing data. And, finally, where the puzzle is completed using some analysis techniques that are far from being clear and systematic, but that the choice of them and the results obtained will depend on each specific problem.
And as intelligence, understood in its more traditional form, is different, so are its tools. iWard aims to produce and share a practical and applicable intelligence, in response to the demands of organisations in support of decision-making.
